BARSC member, NPA Satellite Mapping, CGG Services (UK) Ltd is the UK consultant for a Geoscience Australia led IPSP funded project through a Catapult/Geoscience Australia collaboration.
The project is designed to explore the potential of SAR-derived operational water monitoring products for Australia and how this can complement or supplement Geoscience Australia’s existing Water Observations from Space (WOfS) product derived from Landsat as well as how these same processes can be applied to other global regions for repeat and consistent water resources monitoring.
The specific focus of this project has been on the Sentinel-1 Copernicus mission and the use and benefit of this sensor for mapping in this way.
One key part of this project is to engage with EO suppliers, stakeholders and potential end users both in the UK and Europe and Australia (Australia engagement is being undertaken by CRC-SI) to understand the current data usage, products developed and limitations with current available sensors to meet end user needs.
With that in mind we are conducting a short survey and would welcome your feedback or comments by Friday 3rd June 2016.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the project further please contact Charlotte Bishop (charlotte.bishop@cgg.com) for more information.
