The 2016 programme will be made up of several calls for projects from companies during the year. Each project selected will be eligible for financial support to go towards paying a postgraduate intern to work on the project.
We are looking for companies with a positive attitude to product and personal development who can provide projects that challenge an intern with at least a first degree in a Science or Technology subject. The project should use data from satellites, or make a contribution to the space industry and have a commercial benefit to the company through the creation or development of products or services. It should also allow the intern to gain experience of working as a specialist in the industry.
Ideally, a project should last 10 to 13 weeks, although each project will be looked at on its needs and merits.
The first call is open from 29th January until the 19th February
Company eligibility: companies with less than 50 staff, including start-ups.
The second call is open from 1st April until 29th April
Company eligibility: open to any company.
Further calls for projects may be made, subject to availability of funding.
Details of the scheme can be found by visiting the GRACE website.
