One of the aims of the British Cartographic Society is to encourage better mapping by providing medals and prizes to individuals or companies who have shown excellence in this field.

Entries for the 2014 BCS Awards are now open; closing date is 30th April.
The awards cover a wide range of cartographic outputs, so if you have worked on something especially eye-catching or innovative in the past 12 months why not enter it for one of the BCS categories.
